Captain Lance Keene with a Lake Michigan Salmon
Captain Lance Keene has spent his entire life fishing on Lake Michigan, Manistee River and many other lakes and rivers around Michigan. Fishing is his passion. Capt. Lance moved to Manistee seven years ago to follow his dream of becoming a professional fisherman. Prior to moving to Manistee, Lance spent his summers in Manistee first mating on the Trout Scout. He also spent much of his time fishing the Big Manistee River. Lance was also part of the FLW Walleye League where he traveled throughout the United States fishing for Walleye. When Lance moved here seven years ago he continued to work on the Trout Scout as a Captain of the boat. He also started his own river guide business. His business, Steelhead Hunter Guide Service, has continued to grow and keeps Lance fishing all through the winter.

Lance and Gina on the Trout Scout
Fishing is in Lance’s blood. He has fished with his dad since the time he could walk. Most of their weekends were spent in Manistee County fishing. The Keene family has fished most Tournament Trail Fishing tournaments over the years, placing and winning many of the tournaments.
In July of 2013 Lance took his dream one step further and purchased the Trout Scout! His dream of being a professional fisherman is now reality. Lance truly enjoys sharing his passion of fishing with his clients.
When Lance is not fishing he enjoys hunting and spending time with his two dogs Buck and Berkley. They enjoy being on the boat fishing as much as Lance.
